Enjoy a day on the famed West Branch of the Penobscot river fishing for it's renown salmon and brook trout. This is a tailwater fishery below Ripogenus Dam, a large bottom release dam that keeps the river cold all year long. The salmon and trout in this stretch reside in the river year around and grow to be very good sizes. We launch right at the Big Eddy Campground off the Golden Rd and begin fishing in the eddy. Many fish are often caught here and on some occasions we never leave the eddy. Enjoy a fresh cooked meal at the campground overlooking the eddy before we drop down and fish the rest of the river, about a mile drift. The scenery, wildlife, and fishing are incredible! Price is for two, my boat holds three and it is an extra $50 for the third.
